Beyond employing the three Greek orders, the Romans added the Tuscan and Composite Orders. The Tuscan Order is plain in design. The Tuscan Order is similar to the Doric Order in all but simplicity. If an entablature, column or pedestal is simple, they generally fit into the Tuscan Order. For instance, the column of the Tuscan Order is not fluted and the capitals are non-ornamental.
